ABOUT THE GAME
Back to the Master System, on a grid
Fantasy Force is a retro RPG inspired by Phantasy Star (Sega Master System, 1987): dungeons explored in first person, tile by tile, and an overworld seen from above with towns to discover. You recruit up to three companions to form a party of four, choosing from six classes (Warrior, Knight, Ranger, Thief, Mage, Cleric), each with its own stats, spells, and abilities.
The world has seven towns, seven main dungeons (each with a unique boss), plus six more challenge and story areas, including postgame content and a New Game+. Crafting, achievements, ancient fast-travel portals, and an unlockable airship round out the exploration.

NOTE FROM IDEABOB
Why I made this
Phantasy Star was one of the first RPGs I ever really played, and that first-person dungeon always stuck in my head. Fantasy Force started as a test, how much of a complete game could I build using only the free version of an AI tool, spending nothing but time. It ended up becoming an RPG full of content, with classes, dungeons, crafting, and everything else I wanted to pay tribute to.
